With Irish origins, John grew up in Burnley. He joined the army at 16 and travelled the world before settling in Worcester where he regularly sang at local clubs. After bringing up his four children in Leicester, he retired to Stratford-Upon-Avon. Loving grandfather to 10 grandchildren, the music adored by each generation is now available for all to hear.
